 Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Dr. Seuss week provides us the opportunity to celebrate children’s creativity, imagination, and the importance of reading. Reading to young children improves language and cognitive development. As, Dr. Seuss would say, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

Dr. Seuss’ birthday is a perfect theme for our creative arts classes! Here are some creative arts activities your child may get to participate in (depending on his/her age level): singing Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss with shakers, creatively moving like different characters from Dr. Seuss’ books, individual recognition through a fun name game, hand-eye coordination through creatively keeping balloons afloat to a fun birthday song, Dr. Seuss story enactment, singing Do Your Ears Hang Low?, making a bookmark, and enjoying a Dr. Seuss story.

See you in class! Classes are still being held at The Salt Lake Arts Academy!
